Great trail guide to a beautiful part of the country. The book includes lots of relevant info for trip planning and even gives a few topo maps of trails. Driving directions, local history, and lots of great pictures sparked my curiosity and made me want to explore this part of Montana.
Not very Informative at all.Like it come off a map.Not much research went into planning this book.If I don't no the area. I'd have a hard time finding the trail heads. Little helpful
I was glad to find a guide to hikes in the Tobacco Roots.
The trail iformation was acceptable at its best. The directions to trails was not particularly clear. However with a national forest map and the abilty to read a map allowed us to find all the lake we choose to investigate. we will use the book more. Wew did get to south Meadow Lake. We were able to drive a 3/4 ton GMC crew cab shot box with a 3 inch lift to the lake. The trail is 3.3 miles and it takes 1.3 hours to drive the trail we hit skid plates several times not a low clearance road best for Motorcycles or quads. few places trucks or jeeps can pass. Beautiflu lake could not fish big storm blew in.
